Rival Observer Missions Issue Competing Verdicts on Hungary’s 2026 Elections

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) deployed 389 observers from 47 countries to monitor the 2026 Hungarian parliamentary elections, which ended 16 years of Prime Minister Viktor Orban's rule. However, both missions found that election-day procedures were generally well-executed. The OSEC also found differing perspectives on the issue.
