Idaho Fish and Game (ISG) has issued a warning to hikers and outdoor enthusiasts to leave young wildlife alone during springtime. The department notes that many people mistakenly believe they have saved an orphaned animal, but these animals are rarely abandoned. The best way to handle these animals is to leave them undisturbed. It is also noted that it is illegal to take most wildlife species from the wild to keep as pets.
