Boston's new pizzeria, CeCarré Pizza & Provisions, opened March 7 with a menu of specialty pies and a nearly $50 gold-topped pizza. The pizzeria replaced the previous Detroit-style Descendant Pizza franchise. Most whole pies sell for $26 and are topped with classics like basil and pepperoni, while creative options include kimchi and Gochujang or hot dogs and french fries. The owner, Nina Patel, said the addition of these toppings was part of their approach to offer a more elevated pizza menu at the Prudential Center. Other pizzerias opening around Boston are selling mostly over $20, with some selling over $30 depending on the type of pizza style.
