A Michigan teacher's aide, Robin Popour, has been charged with child abuse after authorities allege she intentionally slammed a nonverbal student into a window at the Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District Learning Center near Escanaba, Mich. Witnesses claim that Popour became angry with the student after he made inappropriate pinching motions at her and then grabbed him by the shoulders and slammed him into the window. A teacher intervened and Popour allegedly left the room, stating "I don't care if I left marks on him." The incident occurred during which three other aides witnessed. Despite this, Popour has since been terminated by the school district.
