‘Riley Gaines Womens Saftey & Protection Act’ advancing in TN legislature. Here’s a look at the proposed changes in the state

The Tennessee Senate has approved a conference committee report for the "Riley Gaines Women's Safety and Protection Act", which defines sex as a person's biological sex, male or female, determined at birth. The bill requires that public restrooms, changing rooms, and sleeping quarters in these settings to be designated by sex and privacy for members must be covered by institutions. The Tennessee Equality Project has criticized the bill, calling it "one of the most dangerous anti-transgender bills to come out of the Tennessee legislature".
