LS Power Grid California has been chosen by the California ISO to develop a 7-mile electric transmission line that will connect PG&E’s Substation B in downtown San Jose with Silicon Valley Power's Northern Receiving Station Substation at 4949 Centennial Blvd. in Santa Clara. The line is expected to cost up to $200 million and be in service by June 2030. LS Power Power is leading two major efforts in the Bay Area to upgrade electricity infrastructure in the San Jose and East Bay areas. The company has previously purchased a 9.8-acre site next to PG&e Substations in 2023 for $56.5 million.
