The final report of the 2025 incident involving a Clark County deputy fatally stabbing a DUI suspect, identified as Oregon resident Marc Fogle, has been released by the Washington's Office of Independent Investigations. Fogle was taken to a weigh station for a breathalyzer test by Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Bryson Layton, 23, after a DUI crash. During the struggle, Fogle tried to take Layton's gun and Layton stabbed Fogle multiple times. The final report indicates that Fogle repeatedly told Layton that his life was over due to the arrest and that he was a "dead man". The prosecutor will decide whether any charges will be filed.
