Friday was National Match Day, when medical students learn where they will complete their residency and practice as licensed doctors. Students at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine received their results. The process involves interviewing several programs before students select their top three preferred destinations, but they find out where they are located on Match Day. About 40 percent of these future doctors remain in Florida to continue their medical training.
