A Beverly Hospital nurse and her husband, Nora Lussier, have officially adopted their daughter, Pamela, two years after Nora took in a baby she treated in the NICU. Pamela's biological parents could not be part of her life and the foster family that had been lined up for her could not take her in due to medical issues including a feeding tube. Nora and her partner, Martin, had hoped to become foster parents but never expected the timeline to be so soon. The state was able to fast-track Pam's foster placement after Nora had taken care of Pam. Following Pam's second birthday, Nora and Martin adopted Pamela with about 25 people at their side. Despite some delays, Pamela is progressing well and is a happy, healthy and social toddler.
