Saitama Prefectural High School teacher, Ryota Motegi, has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a former female student in 2022 after forcing his way into her home. The assault occurred after Moteg, who had previously taught the victim at her former high school, visited her former school and later turned up at her home uninvited. Motegg was already known to police for attempting to sexually assault another female student multiple times in 2023 and was indicted in June for violating the Child Welfare Act. Police are investigating the possibility of similar crimes committed by Moteaggio.
