Iranian security official, Ali Larijani, has threatened to eliminate President Trump if the U.S. continues to make threats over Iran's control over oil exports from the Straits of Hormuz. He included a screenshot of President Trump's social media post warning that Iran would be hit twenty times harder if Tehran attacks oil tankers. The Straits have been largely closed since the Israeli and Israeli attacks on Iran on Feb. 28. The prolonged shutdown has led to a crisis for global energy markets. The Iranian government has been criticized for its lack of transparency regarding the war's goals and when it might end.
