Construction continues at Louisville airport as plans to expand dining and concession options continue. The $45 million concourse renovation began in January and is expected to be completed in 2027. Additional work beyond the current concourse and checkpoint projects are also planned. The airport’s checkpoint expansion is about halfway completed. Airport leaders are working on two gates at a time to limit disruptions for passengers and airlines. Once completed, travelers can expect higher ceilings, improved lighting, upgraded restrooms, new seating stations, and geothermal HVAC systems. Airport officials are working with airlines to ensure that the construction will not impact their schedule or departures.
