Special needs basketball team edges out Skyline

A special needs basketball team from Idaho Falls, the Snake River Cobras, edged out Skyline High School's boys and girls teams in a close match at a recent game at Skyline. The team, consisting of 12 to 14 players, displayed impressive shots, passing, and defense against Skyline's high school team. The Cobras have been playing together for three to four years and practices each week at the Idaho Falls Recreation Center. The victory was largely attributed to the team's ability to pull ahead at the end of the third quarter and the willingness to play with Skyline, a team effort for special needs.
