Dear Abby: My partner let a guest move in without asking me

My partner recently allowed a friend to stay in our home without telling me in advance, causing disruption to my mental health and sense of safety. The guest was a guest experiencing a difficult time and causing shared spaces to be messy, personal belongings to be moved around, decor rearranged, and boundaries were ignored. This caused tension between the two parties and left the guest talking over each other and trying to schedule their departure for the sake of their own sake. If this happens regularly, the relationship may be reevalued.
