A Utah teenager, Bella Prince, is recovering from a traumatic brain injury following a crash involving an e-bike that left her with a permanent head injury after she crashed into a retaining wall and fell 25 feet down a cliff. Her mother, Debbie Prince, expressed her wish for Bella to have worn a helmet prior to the incident. The accident occurred on February 20 in St. George, Utah, and required emergency neurosurgery before she could be rushed to the intensive care unit. The GoFundMe for Bella's recovery notes that she faces a long road to recovery and that her daughter's future is in line with plans to be a child trauma therapist. Utah House Rep. Paul Cutler has proposed legislation requiring those under the age of 21 to wear a helmet while operating an electronic bike, pending the governor's signature.
