Danville To Launch Public Naloxone Boxes At Police Department Ribbon Cutting

Danville, California, is set to launch Naloxone Distribution Units in accessible community locations throughout the San Ramon Valley, including at the Danville Library. The initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce opioid-related fatalities and help community members respond quickly to emergency situations in the wake of an opioid overdose. The units, also known as Narcan boxes, will be installed in accessible locations such as police department lobbies and libraries. The National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse (NPA) will support the strategic placement of the units. The event will also include a program recognizing the project partners and the leadership of the Ledged San.
