President Donald Trump has signed an executive order requiring the US Postal Service to check a voter's registration against a federal list before mailing ballots, a move critics argue could disenfranchise some of Arizona's voters ahead of a crucial November election. The order was supported by Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes and Democrat Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, who argue that the federal voter database is flawed and doesn't accurately represent all documented proof of citizenship. The Trump administration is currently suing Arizona for refusing to hand over the state's complete voter registration database.
