During a press conference following the incident, Trump expressed his gratitude for being among those who have attempted to kill him. The alleged shooter, identified as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen from Torrance, Calif., is believed to be a California Institute of Technology graduate and a part-time teacher. During the press conference, Trump said the shooter appeared to be acting alone and praised the Secret Service's quick response.
