Tornadoes, hail and heavy rain: A lookback on April's wild weather in the Kansas City area

The Kansas City area experienced a significant period of intense weather in April, with 21 tornadoes reported across the country. Three of these were rated as EF2 by the National Weather Service, two of which occurred on the evening of April 13 and another on April 27. The area also saw large amounts of large-scale hail and rainfall. This year will be remembered as the fourth wettest April on record.
