Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using 'coercion and bribery' to destabilise the opposition. This follows the resignation of Assam Congress leader Pradyut Bordoloi, who had been with the Congress for decades amid allegations of internal mistreatment and had resigned from all posts, privileges, and membership of the Indian National Congress. Chatur Vedi criticised the BJP for using 'all sorts of coercion and bribery', suggesting that it is demonstrating its talent deficit by recruiting people from other parties. Assam Congressman Gaurav Gogoi also met with Bordoli and criticised the attempts by the Chief Minister of Assessar Pradesh (Himanta Biswa Sarma) to tarnish his reputation.
