Cuba's President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, has criticised the U.S. for threatening to cut off the island's fuel supplies and vowed to resist this move. This follows a nationwide blackout that lasted over 29 hours. The country, which is just 90 miles from Florida, has been dealing with a worsening economic situation. The U.K. has imposed an oil blockade since January, effectively cutting Cuba off from Venezuelan oil and threatening to impose tariffs on any country that supplies it with it.
