Laredo honors meteorologist Richard ‘Heatwave’ Berler with key to the city

The city of Laredo has awarded its highest honour to KGNS chief meteorologist, Richard "Heatwave" Berler, who has been with the station for over 40 years, the highest ranking in the country. Berler has also earned top honors from the American Meteorological Society and the John Campanius Holm Award.
