Universal Orlando, the East Coast version of the famous California theme park, has lost an iconic restaurant, Burger King Whopper Bar, set to close on April 21 to make way for a Five Guys franchise. The restaurant, which opened in 2009, was part of a concept meant to test whether a more upscale version of Burger King could find a market in countries like Singapore and Germany. The CityWalk, the central thoroughfare between Universal Orlando and the parks, is home to over 25 dining establishments across various price points. Burger King's first Five Guys location opened in 1986 and the chain plans to open an additional 700 locations in the next five years.
