Taylor Buckallew and Jake Zeitner have introduced a new concept of an outdoor market in Phoenix, Scraps Market, which allows local businesses to sell their goods to the public. Instead of just buying something from a local brand, these vendors collaborate to create a unique piece authentic to the buyer and fun to make. Each market includes a rotating list of vendors with interactive elements such as live sewing, cyanotypes, spoon rings, custom press-on nails and an artist drawing a portrait of a bug. The event also incorporates a free crafts table, allowing marketgoers to make something for free. The vendors use materials already exist to maintain sustainability while fashionable.
