World Leaders Urge Return To Talks After U.S. And Israeli Strikes Kill Iran's Supreme Leader

World leaders have urged peace and a return to talks following military strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, which killed Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Concerns were raised about whether the violence could spread across the region and tensions escalated with a massive explosion in the Iranian capital. Iran continued its retaliation campaign, with Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain intercepting a barrage of missiles. The 22-nation Arab League called the Iranian attacks a blatant violation of the sovereignty of countries advocating for peace.
