The most lobbied bill at the Colorado Capitol this year was House Bill 1054, a worker safety measure, which was followed by over 200 companies and organizations. Nine other bills drew the attention of over 100 organizations and lobbyists. The bill would make it easier to form unions by eliminating a second election in the collective bargaining process. If the federal government removes the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Colorado could adopt its own rules. The Data Center & Utility Modernization bill aims to lure companies to build data centers in Colorado by offering them a tax break if they comply with certain rules.
