Sam Lovick, a home baker from Willoughby, Ohio, has turned her passion into a successful business, Momma's Cheesecake Kitchen. She started baking cheesecakes for family gatherings and special occasions, experimenting with flavors to see if she could pull them off. The business quickly grew, with Lovick expanding to other businesses such as Ridgewood Kitchen & Spirits in Concord, Market and Wine Bar in Rocky River. She produces around 18 cheescheakes a week, making them up to eight for restaurant clients and 10 for individual orders. Despite the growing demand, Lovick avoids using artificial flavors and coloring, focusing on quality ingredients and avoiding unnecessary extras. Her baklava cheesecake is one of her proudest creations.
