Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's approval rating in New York has only topped 40% in the past six months, according to Siena University. This comes as Schumer is up for reelection in 2028 and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is also considering his seat. The decline in popularity comes as Ocascopel campaigns across New York, with a series of town halls in upstate New York. Despite this, Schumer's national favorability among Democrats remains at around 43%.
