Zaire Franklin has been traded from the Colts to the Packers, marking the end of his eight-year career with the team. This comes after he was traded for defensive tackle Colby Wooden. Franklin addressed his trade for the first time on The Jim Rome Show, denying any wrongdoing. He also refuted suggestions that he wasn't fast enough for the team, which GM Chris Ballard has stated several times regarding his team's front-seven from 2025. Franklin expressed a desire to play his entire career in Indianapolis, but acknowledged that it may be time for a change. He is eager to reunite with new Packers defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, who previously served as the Colts' head coach before spending two years as the Eagles' defensive coordinator and as Arizona.
