Israel reportedly bombed a compound of Iran's Assembly of Experts in Qom, while they were voting for a new Supreme Leader. The Iranian Supreme Council was reportedly counting votes when Israel struck the meeting location. The three-man council includes President Masoud Pezeshkian, Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei and Ayatollah Alireza Arafi from the Guardian Council. An Israeli defense source confirmed the attack. The assembly had warned that choosing a successor "won't take long" and that the most recent strikes in Iran have focused on eliminating the regime's leadership.
