Hobart school board approves Ridge View sale to Geminus Head Start

The Hobart School Board has unanimously approved the sale of Ridge View School to current tenant Geminus Head Start for $1,271,000. The sale is based on two appraisals. The money will help shore up the district's operating fund. The district is facing financial challenges, capturing about 89% of its tax revenue last year due to low assessed valuation and multiple taxing units.
