The Minnesota Timberwolves won Game 1 of the second-round series against San Antonio, winning 104-102, largely thanks to Anthony Edwards' return from a bone bruise to play 25 minutes off the bench. His performance was a significant boost for the Timberwolves, with Mike Conley and Julius Randle contributing significantly. Victor Wembanyama had 12 blocks in Game 1, the most in a playoff game in 52 years. Despite a strong performance from San Antonio's Julian Champagnie, who set a Spurs franchise record this season for made 3-pointers, the Spurs failed to secure a win. The game was close throughout the game, with neither team ever leading by double digits. Game 2 is set to take place in San Antonio.
