Oban's small distillery, located in Edinburgh, has launched its 15-year series with a new limited release of single malt Scotch. The latest Oban 15 is finished in Port casks and is the second in a new line of annual bottlings. The whisky was bottled at 52.1% and retails for $130, which is about $20 cheaper than last year's MSRP. Despite losing some of the rich raisin flavor of the sherry cask finish, the new version of Oban will be more approachable and less taxing on the palate.
