A new augmented reality walking path from Pacific Center to Pioneer Square in Seattle will lead visitors through the city and teach them about our history and culture. Decals or "launchpads" will be placed on the sidewalk to mark the path as hundreds of thousands of people are expected to attend the World Cup in June and July. The project's curator, Ashanti Davis, uses mixed reality to teach visitors about the history and cultural significance of the area and encourage them to visit local businesses. KIRO 7 tested the augmented reality at Third and Pine in downtown Seattle by the Macy's building. The organization is seeking sponsors for each of the stops and is also seeking sponsorship in other ways.
