Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill has praised rookie Anton Frondell for his performance in the NHL, comparing him to Jonathan Toews twice in two days. Frondel, who has scored five points in his first five games for the Hawks, is the first Hawks rookie to do so so in his career and only the third rookie league-wide to do that since 2022. His performance on Tuesday was his best yet, playing center for the second time with Tyler Bertuzzi and Ilya Mikheyev against the Jets' top line.
