Great blue herons on display at Farmington wildlife center viewing event

The Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) hosted a viewing event at the Eccles Wildlife Education Center in Farmington, Utah, which featured egg-decorating crafts and meeting with DWR biologists to learn about the birds' roosting habits. The event also allowed spectators to observe the nesting of these great blue herons from February to June. The DWR says these birds are the most widespread North American heron and can be found from Alaska to northern South America.
