Kawasaki Heavy Industries has launched what it claims is the world's first commercially available large gas engine to run on blended hydrogen fuel. The engine, which can run on blends containing up to 30% of the gas, is ready for large-scale distributed power generation. The technology can also be retrofitted onto older versions of the engine without replacing other components.
