California-based Gear Isle has issued a recall for its Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate Sachet and ilum Sex Chocolate bars, which have been linked to a potentially fatal drop in blood pressure. The products were sold online and have been found to contain undeclared ingredients, sildenafil and tadalafil, which are active ingredients in the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra and Cialis. The company warned that the undecled active ingredients may pose a threat to consumers due to their interactions with nitrates found in some prescription drugs. Men who use nitrates to treat cardiac conditions are most at risk. The recall has not been reported any adverse effects.
