Bank of America reaches proposed settlement in Epstein sex trafficking lawsuit
Published on March 17, 2026.
Bank of America has reached a non-binding settlement in a class-action lawsuit alleging that the bank helped facilitate Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking operation. The agreement, disclosed in court records, follows claims that Bank of America provided support and institutional legitimacy to the late financier. The lawsuit, filed in October 2025, accused Bank ofAmerica of ignoring suspicious transactions and failing to alert authorities to Epstein's crimes. The settlement is expected to cancel a deposition for Leon Black, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, who resigned in 2021 after an inquiry revealed his relationship with Epstein found to be an affair.
