A 25-year-old woman's purse was stolen from her cart while she was assisting an elderly client shopping at Target. The purse contained her wallet with cash and IDs, and the total reported loss was $2,000. The following day, the Portage County Sheriff’s Office informed the victim that the purse was found on the doorstep of a church in Atwater. Police are reviewing video from the store and the church showing two different males, possibly related, and a person of interest from Alliance has been identified. A three-car crash on March 24 also occurred, resulting in minor injuries to the driver of the other vehicle.
