Richard Williams, an 83-year-old Air Force veteran, was shoved onto the tracks at a Manhattan subway station in a random attack on March 8. The alleged attacker, Bairon Hernandez, was arrested hours after the attack and has been charged with murder. Williams was rushed to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in critical condition and was on life support. The attack occurred without warning.
