The NBA's player poll, conducted by The Athletic's Josh Robbins, Sam Amick and Joe Vardon, revealed that the Oklahoma City Thunder were the favorites to win the NBA title for a second consecutive year, receiving 50 percent of the 146 votes. The San Antonio Spurs were second with 25.3 percent and the Boston Celtics were third with 8.2 percent. Despite this, the league isn't as confident in the Thunder as it was in previous seasons. The Thunder finished with the best record in the NBA for the second consecutive season at 64-18.
