FSH Technologies founder, Lilly Chen, moved her company from San Francisco to the Philadelphia region during COVID and found a more grounded, civic-minded startup culture in the city. She credits a local network of civic leaders, public-sector veterans and advisors for helping FSH break into the highly relationship-driven sector. FSH Technologies operates in the govtech space and has served over 1,000 businesses in 12 languages within a month, with 85.2% of these businesses being first-time filers and operators who don't speak English as a first language. The company's projects include supporting the Philadelphia Department of Commerce's small business programs as part of the mayor's Open for Business initiative.
