French Minister Seeks Measures Against Crypto Wrench Attacks, Kidnappings

French Minister Jean-Didier Berger, minister delegate to the interior minister, has announced that authorities are taking measures to protect cryptocurrency investors from the growing threat of crypto kidnappings and wrench attacks in the country. This comes after another reported crypto-linked abduction in France, where a mother and her child were reportedly kidnapped by four suspects demanding a 400,000 euro ($471,000) ransom from the father, a crypto entrepreneur. Berger's office has taken "preventative measures" against these attacks, including launching a prevention platform that has attracted thousands of sign-ups. Since the start of the year, there have been 41 reported cases of crypto-related kidnappings in France alone.
