Joy Ransom has filed a lawsuit against Claudia and Nelson Peltz, her parents, for an alleged dog attack. She alleges that she was attacked by their rescue dog, Houdini, on Dec. 23, 2025. Ransom claims that the family was aware of Houdin's history of attacking people and that Ransom was not negligent in causing the incident. The lawsuit also alleges that Houdino was not under any form of restraint or control at the home despite his owners' prior knowledge of his behavior. Ranson is seeking over $50,000 in damages and is demanding a jury trial. This is the second lawsuit by Claudia and her parents in two years.
