PHL airport operations running normally amid partial government shutdown

The partial government shutdown is affecting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is due to disagreements between federal lawmakers and the White House over funding and operations. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol will remain funded during the shutdown. Other DHS agencies, including the Transportation Security Administration and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, are expected to continue working without pay.
