The bill's main goal was to strengthen the economy with lower tax rates and allow working and retired Americans to keep more of their earnings. Three major provisions included eliminating income tax on tipped wages, allowing millions of waiters, waitresses, bartenders, baristas, barists, barbers, hairstylists, DoorDash drivers, tour guides, casino dealers, and restaurant staff. Additionally, the bill reduced the tax bill paid by the middle class by roughly 14%, reducing the tax rate you pay, incentivizing more work and contributing more money to the family.
