The Lightship AE.1 electric RV trailer, which uses large batteries and electric motors to offset the energy loads of RV living and towing a trailer, has an open, airy interior and lots of features such as a motor and batteries, which ensures it won't drain your range while towing. The AE. 1.1 is available in two trim levels: the 77kWh Atmos and 44kWh Panos, with prices starting at $184k and $151k, and a later model, the Terros, will start at $125k. The RV also features 1.8kW of solar panels on the roof to power off-grid loads. The trailer can sleep 4, or 5, or sleep in an optional sleeping area that can fold out a sleeping area with an optional bunk bed. It can also be controlled by a mobile phone or tablet device that tucks into a slot near the door. The company claims its battery can last for a week of off-grinding operation under normal use.
