Republican Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt is reportedly set to temporarily fill the anticipated vacancy of Sen. Markywane Mullin, a junior Republican senator of the Sooner State, with oil and gas executive Alan Armstrong. Stitt's replacement can only serve until the end of Mullin's term in 2027, after which the winner of the November Senate election will take office. Armstrong, who made two donations totalling $5,800 to former Republican Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger in 2021, made the donations two months after Kinzingham voted to impeach Trump over his alleged role in the U.S. Capitol riot.
