This will be followed by a powerful cold front moving towards the city, which could result in temperatures plummeting by 25 to 30 degrees within hours. Thunderstorms are expected to develop quickly and potentially turn severe, with main threats including large hail and damaging straight-line winds. However, temperatures will return to the 50s over the weekend and the 60s not far behind.
